Professional Diploma In Pattern Drafting & Cutting
Pattern drafting is a process of creating a pattern by taking measurements from a person, form, or model in order to then create the foundation for the design. It is also called “pattern making”. Pattern drafting can be done on paper or with software like AutoCAD and Vectorworks.
When a person needs new clothes, he or she goes to the store and buys them. If they need more of one thing than another, they can buy lots of it without fear that it will never be worn again.
They also don’t have to worry about whether the pattern on their dress matches with those on their shirt sleeves; clothing is mass-produced by machine at many different factories around the world and is cut according to patterns developed for each type of fabric–cotton or silk, for example. But what if you want your own custom design? What if you want clothes that fit just right but are made from an expensive designer’s fabric? Well then, you might hire a professional pattern drafter!
